Yesterday I went to the cinema to watch “Sing”, a 3D computer-animated musical comedy film produced by Illumination Entertainment. Directed and written by Garth Jennings, the film stars the voices of very well-known actors and actresses, among whom we can mention Scarlett Johansson and Matthew McConaughey, starring Buster Moon, an optimistic koala who owns a theatre and decides to host a singing competition due to his finantial problems.
Animals from all around the city gather for auditions, but Moon finally chooses Rosita, a housewife and mother of 25 piglets, Meena who is a timid elephant , Mike, a street musician mouse, Johnny, a mobster son gorilla and Ash, a punk-rock porcupine.
All of them will realise that they can’t let their fear stop them from doing what they love. Moreover, Moon will always be there to remind them that the greatest thing of hitting rock bottom is that there’s only one way left to go, and that’s up!
Normally, I never watch this kind of movies, but I know I would have regretted missing this one. The soundtrack is fantastic, and some scenes are so funny that you can’t help roaring with laughter. Just give it a go, you’ll really enjoy it!
