Haven’t you ever come across those people who are incapable of facing the fact that they are not perfect? Well, I have. They can be easily recognised because most of them share the same features.
They are used to giving their opinion on every single matter, even if they haven’t been asked, probably because they think they know more than the others and their opinion is essential to you. They say “their truth”, which one normally has to clarify and dismantle because it has nothing to do with reality. Whatever you say, they can always top it! Whenever you think of them, the words foolhardy, rude, wicked, indiscreet and deceitful come to your mind. You can’t help feeling uncomfortable when you are with them because they are neither honest nor reliable and you know they will always speak behind your back, even though you’re really careful and right when discussing a subject with them.
They try to convince others of how unfair life is to them and of course how badly they are treated. They react like children, frowning and criticising others because they are never responsible for what happens, it is always somebody else’s mistake. They are always victims and never do anything wrong.
Well, if you have never got to know someone like this, lucky you! That means you don’t have to deal with toxic, poisonous people who weren’t told how to behave properly. In the end, it is once more, a matter of emotional intelligence, empathy and sociability. If only they were clever enough to just be quiet….!
